Hi, I'm Coach Kim Murphy
Prior to coaching, I spent many years working with children in early childhood programs and the elementary public school system. Although always been interested in making healthy choices and striving to stay active, my real fitness journey didn’t begin until moving to Pennsylvania with my family in 2013. It was then, that we joined a CrossFit box and I quickly developed a passion for encouraging and motivating others to achieve their own personal health and fitness goals and improving their overall quality of life. I earned my CrossFit L-1 certification and began coaching athletes of all ages and fitness levels.
I was also blessed with the opportunity to become involved with fitness classes specifically designed for people diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease. I was so inspired by this amazing group of courageous people that I decided I wanted to become certified to teach Rock Steady boxing for Parkinson’s and have been coaching for the past four years.
It has truly been one of my greatest joys to be a part of a program helping people fight back against Parkinson’s and watching them regain strength and improve balance and coordination. We really are stronger together!
